It’s sweater season! (And okay fine, maybe I’m a little bit excited)

While summer is hands down my favourite season of them all, I do have a little bit of a soft spot for any type of weather that allows for sweaters and bare legs. I think I’ve noted that sentiment about a thousand times on the blog over the years, but it still holds true. And lets just say there has certainly not been much sweater wearing during my first Boston summer - it gets HOT here!

As I start curating my own fall knitwear collection over the next few weeks, I thought I would round up some of my favourites that I’ve found so far. This season I’m putting an emphasis on classic, staple cuts, colours and fabrics - pieces that I know I won’t get sick of at the end of the season. My first new fall sweater arrived last week and it’s this ACNE baby that I managed to snag on sale and I’m so excited about it. (I’ve also found an exact dupe for a more affordable price here. WIN!).

So, here’s a round up of some of my favourites and I hope it helps you on your fall (or Spring!) sweater weather shopping adventures! My tips for shopping for the perfect fall sweaters are:

ONE: Start with the core neutrals, as they will go with everything!

TWO: Get the basic silhouettes, and also a few pieces that have an interesting detail - like a puff sleeve

THREE: Mix some fitted pieces with some oversized numbers, so you have a sweater for every mood
