MY GO-TO ‘SWEATER SKIRT’ COMBO

My favourite outfit combo from some GLUE Store favourites!

Lately I’ve realised two important things about the considerations I make when I get dressed in the morning. Firstly, that I value comfort over most things – if I don’t feel comfortable in and with what I am wearing, no thank you and secondly, that my favourite outfit combo of all time is a sweater and a skirt.

While these two factors both seem to go together when it comes to this particular outfit, each individually has had an influence on my “go-to” outfits lately. Some of my favourite wardrobe pieces are a little more relaxed and as we move on from Summer I’m finding myself wearing a lot more sweaters but always wanting to keep the bare legs thing from warmer days going. I think it’s just what I feel most comfortable in.

So, introducing my favourite outfit combination – the sweater, the skirt, and for the majority of occasions, the sneaker.

Ever since this Assembly Label sweater appeared on Glue Store I knew I had to get it into my wardrobe as soon as possible (opted for the black, still craving the white as well – oops!). When looking for sweaters, I’m always wanting something that you can dress up and down and the oversized fit and branding motif lets me achieve this depending on the other pieces in the outfit. I’m still clinging on to hope that Winter isn’t actually on its way so in turn, feel this A Brand denim skirt is still going to get a workout over the next few months! Speaking of, has anyone else been searching for the perfect denim skirt for what seems like forever? Well, this guy is it and there’s no looking back – particularly with this high-low hemline which gives a little bit of a twist on a classic cut of a denim skirt (I’m all about the twists on the classics)! As I have no self-control, I couldn’t resist adding this pair of all white ADIDAS Superstars (a must have!) to my ever growing sneaker collection because as I mentioned earlier, comfort is key and what’s better than a(nother) trusty pair of sneakers?
