CRUSHING: LACE UP BOOTS
Two pairs of new boots that are never coming off my feet. Unless it's to switch between them, of course!
I've been crushing on lace up boots for years now, but had somehow never found my dream pair so abstained for purchasing just any. I think it was a case of loving the lace up style so much that I wouldn't settle for anything but something that 100% hit the mark, and also wanting to invest in a slightly higher quality than your run-of-the-mill boot to ensure I could wear them to death for years and years to come (you know, because when you're onto a good thing ...). Who knew finding the perfect lace up boots would take years?!
Somehow, after not owning a pair of lace up boots for years of lusting after them, I managed to purchase two pairs in the space of about 12 hours (and I was sleeping for about 7 of those 12). Yep, I somehow managed to fall in love with two pairs of lace up boots in such a short timeframe, I think the universe was telling me something ... that I definitely needed both!

THE FLAT LACE UP BOOT
Flat lace up boots were the style of lace up boot I've always had in the back of my mind as the one I needed the most. The pair I could wear everyday and mix with quite literally, any type of outfit!
After falling in love with this pair from IRO a few weeks ago, I was almost about to pull the purchasing trigger but there was just something that was stopping me. Then these Toga Pulla new season boots appeared and it was love at first sight. What ... a ... dream! I spotted these on style crush Clementine McVeigh and hot-footed my way onto Google to find that they had just appeared on Farfetch as a new arrival. Purchased! They also come in a patent version too which are equally as dreamy if I didn't have such a girl crush on grained leather (swoon!).
Here, I've paired them with a black dress to create what I can only call the quintessential 'Ashleigh' outfit - a black dress and black boot combo is what I could live in forever!
THE HEELED LACE UP BOOT
After a quick consult with Rohan to get the justification that these were indeed, slightly different to the Toga Pulla pair (who am I kidding, if he said they were the same I wouldn't have listened), these Schutz boots also landed into my cart the morning after the Toga Pulla's had been purchased. How could I say no?! These will be the best shoe to "grunge" up an outfit, and for someone who lives in dresses and skirts (guilty!) but doesn't like to look "girly", these could not be a better addition to my shoedrobe.
Have you found your dream boot? I will never say no to more recommendations! (Yes I have a problem) ;)
