STYLING THE EARTHY TONES
My version of earthy colour perfection with Marks and Spencer
Look guys, colour! Hehe. Okay so it might be neutral colour additions to my wardrobe, but I tell you what, I am loving them. For me, this is exactly how colour should be done - classically and minimally and of the earthy-toned variety.
All jokes aside, when it does come to colour I'm definitely turning to the earthy tones as my colours of choice, as they are the most subtle and complimentary of all the colours to add to an outfit. With the cooler months just around the corner, there's no better time to make those updates to the wardrobe!
Marks and Spencer's new Earth Collection is the perfect combination of all the neutrals we love, especially as we move into the cooler weather here in Australia. The blacks, whites, tans and khakis are my weapons of choice, with chunky materials, ruffle and tie details, and broderie lace some of my new favourite elements!
THE TAN TRENCH
First up, the best trench coat that has ever entered my wardrobe, hands down! Not only is the colour the perfect shade of earthy-tan, but the heavy duty fabric and oversized style makes it a combination I didn't know was missing from my wardrobe but I'm glad that it is there now! Teamed with grey toned skinny jeans, a fantastic alternative to the usual black jeans that take over my wardrobe (with cute ankle zips too!) and a white shirt with the best-exaggerated ruffles ever, this combination is definitely going to be on high rotation.

LAYERED KHAKI
Khaki has always been one of my favourite Eathy tones and a colour that comes into my wardrobe around this time of the year, every year. This double layered cami, with khaki netting and the cutest black ties on the shoulders (I'm so obsessed with shoulder ties at the moment!) has the on-trend fishnet style yet is a timeless piece for the wardrobe. Ticking my 'must be trendy but last for seasons' boxes!

LBD AND BRODERIE DETAILS
And of course, I couldn't go past the little black dress, a wardrobe staple for every season. While I do believe there's no such thing as too many black dresses (you're so surprised, I know), it's always nice to pick each dress so it has a slightly different detail to the other. The broderie detail and longer length on this number gives me all the Autumn vibes - a must have for Sunday brunch style as it gets cooler!

After giving khaki and tan a little spin in these outfits, I have a feeling Earthy tones may be making a bit more of an appearance in my wardrobe, especially as the temperatures slowly decrease and the leaves start falling off the trees - swoon!
What are your thoughts on earthy tones and colours? Are they your colours of choice too?
