A NEW YEAR'S EVE OUTFIT MISSION WITH SIMON MALLS
Is it just me or did the end of the year appear out of nowhere?!
Okay thought so - definitely not just me.
It was only a few weeks ago that I did the usual December double take - you know, the one where you realize we’ve hit the last month of the year and all of the end of year deadlines appear, you remember the long list of people you need to get Christmas presents for, and panic because you have nothing to wear on New Year's Eve!
To tick at least one of these off the list (you guessed it, not the end of year deadlines!), I jumped over to the Copley Place in Boston to hunt down the perfect New Year's Eve outfit. Copley Place is one of my favourite places to shop in Boston - the perfect combination of high street retailers for everyday outfits, and high end stores for those special pieces. I don’t think I’ve ever visited Copley Place and not been able to find exactly what I needed! Particularly beneficial when you leave things to the last minute which for me, is the story of my life.
I had a game plan as to what sort of outfit I was looking for this year. Long gone are the big party celebrations for me, I much prefer to spend New Year's Eve having a low key evening with close friends - so I was looking for an outfit that was relaxed vibes but also with a little something special - it is New Year's Eve after all! I knew a few different stores at Copley Place that would be perfect for finding key pieces for an outfit like this, like the always over-flowing-with-new-fashion goodness Neiman Marcus, accessory heaven aka J.Crew, and Tory Burch because I spied cute bags in the window on my way in, hehe.
I wrote about my shopping trip over on the Simon Malls' Simon SAID blog - you can read it here (and you can also see the final outfit I put together for my low-key New Year's Eve celebrations!)
On that note: HAPPY 2020! May you ring in the New Year with your favorite people and in a new outfit ;)
