#TRENDALERT: UTILITY

Think cargo pants and combat boots. HELLO!

A trend that embraces buckles, combat boots and neutrals is one I am definitely getting involved with. So much so, that recently I’ve solely been on the search for everything utility and may have added a few more cheeky outfit pieces that I’m sure you will see coming to an @ashleighdmello Instagram page soon!

Since living in the US and realising that Boston has an abysmal Zara store (I know, WTF?!), I’ve been doing a lot of online Zara shopping/stalking and as soon as I spied these pants, I knew I had to have them in my wardrobe. I think I was 13 the last time I put a pair of cargo pants onto my body … but here we are, fully behind this pair and more of where they came from!

Teamed with a simple white t-shirt (this one is Jac and Jack and it is the best sheer(ish) white tee ever!), some combat boots (obviously) and of course, a trusty leather jacket (as I’m still waiting for official Spring to arrive) - I think we’ve achieved the off duty utility style look with some of my favourite wardrobe pieces! Let’s just say these pants are going to get a bit of a workout for the foreseeable future …
