THE STATEMENT BELT

Just one of those things everyone needs in their accessories closet immediately.

There's a 99% chance you're aware of it, but in case you're not, this past season has been all about the statement belt. Specifically the new and improved Gucci Marmont belt, which is an absolute swoonfest and can be spotted on basically every blogger everywhere!

Just before Christmas I realised I needed to add a statement belt to my collection, however part of me had moved on from the Gucci Marmont belt - maybe because everyone had it, maybe because there was a $700 price tag attached to it, hehe. I made it my mission to find another designer alternative that I loved just as much, but wasn't done to death or as expensive.*

*Disclaimer, I still did pretty badly in that second department ... oops!

As a very lovely belated Christmas present from my other half, I've added the YSL Serpent belt to my collection and I am OBSESSED! I think I love it more than any other alternative in the statement belt category and I will be giving this bad boy a workout with skirts, shorts, dresses and playsuits forever!
