COZY SEASON IS HERE!

And it’s time for all of the faux fur.

By my calculations, Fall lasted about two weeks and we jumped straight into Winter - brr, it’s cold! While I’m very much a child of the summer, there are still a few things I get excited about when the temperatures drop. I’m talking, of course, about big cozy coats, mulled wine, knitted beanies with cute pom-poms and layers-on-layers-on-layers. Who is with me?! I’m making a point of fully embracing the cold this year, especially because it’s my first true winter in a long time and I have to deal with it, so why not!

My favourite type of cozy outerwear is for sure a fluffy faux fur which, by default, also jumped to the top of my Winter shopping list. Faux fur has the ability to elevate a winter look with ease - something I am always looking for in an outer layer. As soon as I saw this fluffy white faux fur goodness from Express (09023751), I knew I had to add it to my wardrobe. I mean, look at not only how cozy it is, but how perfectly it goes with an all black outfit. Need I say more! The rest of my Winter uniform is pretty predictable, the minimal-but-edgy all black vibe, of course, so I matched the faux fur back with another of my Winter wardrobe staples, a leather look legging, as well as a turtle neck sweater, black bootie and a chunky knit beanie.

Side note: I’ve been wearing this sweater non-stop the last week and I have had more compliments than I’ve had on a sweater in a long time. I have a few knit pieces from Express now and I am so impressed at the quality and the affordable price point.
